Vitality have accepted an invitation to compete at DreamHack Masters Malmö, the event's organisers have announced.
The ECS Season 7 champions are the fifth team confirmed for the event, joining OpTic, Astralis, fnatic and Liquid.
Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt and Dan "apEX" Madesclaire have fond memories of playing in Malmö, having been part of the G2 lineup that won the 2017 edition of the event after beating North in the final.
Vitality are one of the hottest teams around at the moment, sitting in second place in the world rankings since the July 8th update after they finished runners-up at ESL One Cologne.

Last weekend, the French team qualified for the next season of the ESL Pro League by winning the ESEA EU MDL Finals, but then crashed out the Global Challenge in the semi-finals after losing to a FURIA side attending the event with a stand-in. On social media and in interviews, the players admitted that they did not take the tournament seriously and were just looking to reset and have fun ahead of IEM Chicago, which kicks off on Thursday.
DreamHack Masters Malmö will run from October 1-6 as part of the Malmö Game Week festival and will have $250,000 on the line. The team list for the Swedish event currently looks as follows:
